Water Conservation Now & Tomorrow

The SAWS Website introduces Water Conservation with these words:  San Antonio’s cheapest source of water is conservation — water we don’t use. That’s why SAWS proven conservation programs have become a cornerstone of the community’s long-term water management strategy.

Join us for an afternoon seminar on the new, forward-looking water conservation programs here in San Antonio with KAREN GUZ, Director of Water Conservation at San Antonio Water System.

Karen has focused much of her efforts on the residential conservation programs, including the Seasonal Irrigation Program (SIP) and WaterSaver Landscape Rebate Program, but has been an active contributor to many commercial initiatives as well. Karen is a TCEQ licensed irrigator and licensed irrigation auditor and has a B.S. in Anthropology-Zoology from the University of Michigan and a Masters of Public Administration from the University of North Carolina.
