TIME TO CELEBRATE!
The Texas Search for Excellence Awards Program is sponsored by the Texas Master Gardener Association (TMGA) and the awards for 2017 were announced at the TGMA Banquet on April 5th.  BCMG is in the Extra-Large membership category (200+ members). 

This year the Outstanding Individual Master Gardener, recognized for involvement and contributions of primary importance, was Lynn Cox!

CONGRATULATIONS to all Bexar County Master Gardeners involved in efforts that were recognized with the following awards:
1st Place, Youth JMG Program (coordinated JMG groups, activities & service learning projects)
3rd Place, Educational Program (teaching opportunity presented educational information about a horticultural topic)
3rd Place, Written Education (any form of printed material created/written as a tool for education)
3rd Place, Project (at a physical location & displayed best horticultural practices for educational purposes)

Learn about the Challenges in Maintaining the SA Museum Reach with Peter Pierson at the afternoon BCMG Seminar/Mtg on Thu, Apr 19, 1-3pm.
Luis Valdez will inform attendees on Growing Orchids in San Antonio at the evening BCMG meeting on Thu, May 17, from 6-8:30pm.

Call for New BCMG Merchandise Manager!!  Email President Grace Emery for details and training information if you are interested in taking on our merchandise operation.  Robbie Farmer set up and ran this operation so well for a number of years.  Thank you, Robbie for all your good work!
