If you have ever thought of being a beekeeper or just want to learn what it takes, this in-depth class with a hands on field day is sure to leave you feeling confident and ready to get your own hives! If you have hives coming this spring, this is a great way to get the knowledge you need to start out strong and be a beeKEEPER instead of a beHAVER!
During this course, all the basics of bees and beekeeping will be covered, including: bee biology, beekeeping equipment and tools, space and time requirements, and beekeeping for tax exemption.
A hands‐on field day to an apiary will be provided. This is where you will learn the most about beekeeping! Must sign a medical release waiver to participate. Bee suit provided.
