The soil is one of our nation’s greatest resources, which not many people understand. Travis will be discussing physical and chemical properties and why they are important to all of us who use the soil to grow plants.
Travis Waiser graduated from Texas A&M University in 2003 with a B.S. in Agronomy and Rangeland Ecology and Management and earned his M.S. in Soil Science at A&M in 2006. He began his career as a soil scientist with the National Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) in 2005. Since moving to Kerrville in 2010, he now serves as the Edwards Plateau and Central Basin Soil Survey Leader for NRCS. The office covers over 26 million acres of Central and West Texas.
