BCMG August Monthly Meeting – Landscape Design for Water Conservation

August 18, 2022 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

August BCMG Seminar and Meeting
Thursday, August 18, 2022
6:00 – 8:00 PM
Hosted by Bexar County Master Gardeners

Topic:  Landscape Design for Water Conservation

With the current drought and high temperatures, landscape water restrictions are being discussed by all water providers.  Landscape water conservation is achieved by design, plant selection, and irrigation efficiency.  These methods work together to reduce water use.  Dotty will discuss how you can implement these practices and answer your questions.

Speaker:  Dotty Woodson, Horticulturist

In addition to BS & MS degrees in Horticulture from Tarleton State, Ms. Woodson received her doctorate from Texas A&M and Texas Tech Universities for Agricultural Education, Communication, and Leadership.  Before retirement, she was an Extension Agent in Tarrant Co. where she taught over 5000 people a year on horticulture, irrigation, rainwater harvesting, water conservation, and many other topics.  She has received multiple awards and recognition for her work.

The meeting is free and open to the public.
The business portion of the meeting will begin immediately after the conclusion of the presentation.
