Topic: Virtual Tour of the Greenhouse at San Antonio Botanical Garden
Stephanie will take us on a virtual tour of the San Antonio Botanical Garden’s greenhouse. She will cover the overall operation, including how plants are propagated, grown, and maintained, as well as how plants are selected for sale to help support this thriving organization. SABOT’s goal is to provide consistent information to the community and to volunteers. Stephanie will be able to answer your questions live after the tour!
Speaker: Stephanie Jones, Bexar County Master Gardener
Stephanie Jones became a Bexar County Master Gardener in 2007 after retiring from USAA, where she had worked in various management positions for 31 years. Since then, the main focus of her energy has been the San Antonio Botanical Garden, working as a garden guide and an instructor in many different classes, including the children’s summer camps, and spending two days a week in the propagation greenhouse. In addition, Stephanie has facilitated classes sponsored by the Bexar County Master Gardener Cultivate program. She takes particular delight in working with people, helping them to connect with plants and to understand how they help the environment and the beauty of our world.
The meeting is free and open to the public.
The business portion of the meeting will begin immediately after the conclusion of the presentation.
Registration is required, either in advance or minutes before the start of the program.
