Ethnobotany of the Plants on the South Texas Trail

This workshop will identify some common plants found in South Texas and will reveal the ethnobotanical uses—culinary, medical, utilitarian, and ceremonial—to which these plants were put.  Participants will tour the South Texas Native Trail to see these plants in a naturalistic setting.

Instructor:  Gary Poole, Texas Master Naturalist and member of the Native Plant Society of Texas
