Getting Plumerias Ready for Spring – San Antonio Garden Center Mtg.

San Antonio Garden Center Monthly Meetings and Programs are free and open to the public. Meetings and Programs are the 1st Wednesday of each month, September–May. A Coffee Social and Plant Exchange/Sale begins at 9:30 AM with the program following at 10:00.

Yes, you can create a lovely and colorful tropical garden in South Texas. One of the plants that can turn your backyard into an island paradise is the Plumeria. In Hawaii, the blooms are used to create the traditional leis. They are known to be found in hot, dry areas, often with poor soil on rocky, limestone cliffs. Hot, dry, alkaline limestone style—what better way to describe our growing conditions in San Antonio?
