Some familiar grasses and shrubs often die no matter how much water, fertilizer, and time the owners use to care for them. But fields of wild plants thrive nearby with no tending at all. Yet such plants could never suit HOA-approved small yards, right? Wrong. You can satisfy your HOA, your neighbors, this area’s unique wildlife, and even your own timeclock and pocketbook if you’ll look again at those seemingly untamable native plants.
Speaker: Kathryn Berck, former president of this NPSOT chapter and a vice president of the state organization
