iNaturalist Online Training Webinar (Requires the iNaturalist app)

March 31, 2020 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

SPECIAL NOTE:
If you participated in the iNaturalist Webinar on Tue, Mar 31 and want to refresh some of the content,
or if you are just interested in reviewing the slide content of the presentation,
you can access the .pdf version of the Slides HERE.
Many Thanks to Craig Hensley and Molly Keck for making the slides available!

*********************************************************

NOTE:  It is extremely important that you download the iNaturalist app on your phone or tablet beforehand!
If you have a child who is interested, Seek by iNaturalist is the version you’ll want to use.

Join Craig Hensley, Texas Nature Tracker Biologist, as he explains how to use the iNaturalist program while you are taking nature breaks outdoors.  This is something that can break the boredom of sheltering in place and can also be an excellent way to get kids outside, enjoying and observing nature.

DATE – Tuesday, March 31st
TIME – 10:00-11:30 AM — After the training, break for lunch and do your own nature walk.
1:00 PM — Log back in to discuss our findings and ask any questions of Craig!
ONLINE – https://agrilife-tamu.webex.com/agrilife-tamu/j.php?MTID=mc3b72fe528184d874f6a54c42e6b3999

iNaturalist is a citizen science project and online social network of naturalists, citizen scientists, and biologists, built on the concept of mapping and sharing observations of biodiversity across the globe!  It’s a great way to identify unknown plants, insects, and other living things.  But the information provided to iNaturalist through just snapping pics with our phones provides valuable data to science research projects, conservation agencies, and to the public!
