Speaker: Stephanie Jones
Stephanie Jones became a Bexar County Master Gardener in 2007 after retiring from 31 years at USAA, where she worked in various management positions. Since then, the main focus of her energy has been the Botanical Gardens where she works as a garden guide, instructor in many different classes, including the children’s summer camps, and spends two days a week in the propagation greenhouse. Stephanie takes particular delight in working with the students at Oak Meadow Elementary School every Thursday in their garden and helps teach the JMG curriculum to students. Stephanie hopes, through her participation in this program, that she is preparing future environmentalists who will work as she does to preserve the beauty and wonder of our planet.
