It is estimated that Mexico holds 50,000 plant taxa within its borders. Many of these are popular horticulture plants in use throughout the world. In conjunction with the Frida Kahlo exhibit, displaying some of Mexico’s plant diversity, Eason will cover plants native to Mexico and adjacent Texas that are used in landscaping, as well as highlight a few new world native plants that have caused ecological damage when introduced outside of their native range.
