Pollinators and Texas Superstar® Plants
Presented by
David Rodriguez, Horticulturist, Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service
David will talk about the Texas Superstar® plants that attract our needed pollinators for our vegetable gardens, flowers, and trees. After several years of extension field trials by Texas A&M AgriLife Research and Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, only the toughest, most reliable, and best-looking plants will earn the Texas Superstar® designation. They must show superior performance under Texas’ tough growing conditions. This means that homeowners will find landscape success with beautiful, proven, Texas–tough plants and our pollinators will find the pollen they need to help get them through the winter months.
