Purple Martins: Role and Requirements in San Antonio Ecosystems

Educator, purple martin enthusiast, and fabulous storyteller, John Henry, shares his knowledge of purple martins: their habits, habitat requirements, role in and benefits for our ecosystems, and how to attract them to your yard.  Participants will examine purple martin houses and learn how to care for and clean them.
Class will include a tour of the Botanical Garden’s birdhouses.

Instructor:  John Henry, retired educator, purple house manager at the Botanical Garden for 15 years

Fee: $10 ($9, Garden members)
