The Ethnobotany of Native Plants Walking Workshop

January 28, 2021 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am

For thousands of years Texas plants have been used for sustenance, medicine, and the establishment of the area as we know it.  As the region and its populations changed, so did the ethnobotany (the relationship between people and plant).  This seasonally changing tour will explore the three Texas Native Trails, exploring the diverse relationships people have had, and still have, with plants in Texas.

Instructor:  Maeve Bassett, Conservation and Volunteer Programs Specialist, San Antonio Botanical Garden
