Andrew LaBay will present a brief overview of the Texas Wine Industry and Texas grape growing for the backyard gardener. Andrew will also discuss the work that he is doing in the Culinary Garden at the Botanical Garden.
Speaker
Andrew Labay, Horticulturist at the San Antonio Botanical Garden, oversees plant propagation for the gardens. He was previously a Viticulture Program Specialist based at the Texas A&M Agrilife Extension Viticulture and Fruit Lab in Fredericksburg, Texas. His work in viticulture focused on developing educational programs and providing technical support for grape growers in the Texas Hill Country.
