Topic: The Greenhouse at San Antonio Botanical Garden
A little known source of native and well-adapted plants is the San Antonio Botanical Garden. Stephanie will give us a tour of the plant sales greenhouse and share her exceptional knowledge of salvias and a few of her favorite plants. In March the San Antonio Botanical Garden will have its first plant sale of the season!
Speaker: Stephanie Jones, Bexar County Master Gardener
Stephanie Jones became a Bexar County Master Gardener in 2007 after retiring from 31 years at USAA in various management positions. Since then, the main focus of her energy has been the San Antonio Botanical Garden, where she works as a garden guide and as an instructor in many different classes, spending two days a week in the propagation greenhouse. She has also facilitated classes sponsored by the BCMG Cultivate! program. Stephanie enjoys helping people connect with plants and understand how they help the environment and the beauty of the world.
The meeting is free and open to the public.
The business portion of the meeting will begin immediately after the conclusion of the presentation.
