New to growing vegetables? New to growing vegetables in Texas? This presentation is for you. MG Kathy Breniman will discuss choosing and preparing a garden site, selecting the right vegetable varieties for our climate, planting vegetables at the right time, using transplants and seeds, applying fertilizer, and controlling pests.
Kathy is starting her eighth year of vegetable gardening in Texas and has been the co-lead of the Children’s Vegetable Garden at Phil Hardberger Park since 2017.
