Natural Dyes: Extracting Pigment from Local and Seasonal Texas Plants – Distance Learning

Note: Since this is a distance learning class, participants will require a computer and internet connection to take the workshop.

Explore regional and seasonal plants that provide a range of remarkable natural dye colors in this online class.  Casey Galloway, local fiber artist and instructor​, will teach step-by-step approaches to preparing a variety of fibers for dyeing, as well as mordanting, dye extraction, fiber care, and responsible harvesting.  Demonstrations, Q&A, and handouts will be included.

Fee: $20 ($18, Garden members)
