The Biology and Ecology of Native Texas Bees – Distance Learning

Note: Since this is a distance learning class, participants will require a computer and internet connection to take the workshop.

Texas has over 700 species of native bees representing almost one-fifth of all the species found in the United States. Participants in this workshop will learn about the biology and ecology of native bees, the role they play in maintaining healthy ecosystems, their importance as pollinators, and what we can plant and do in our landscapes to promote healthy populations.

Instructor: Dr. Jessica Beckham, PhD in Entomology, entomologist and lecturer in the UTSA Environmental Science and Ecology department

Fee: $10, refundable deposit upon completion of the post-workshop survey
