Topic:  My Extension 

What is Extension?  How can Extension better serve you?  How can you better serve the people of Texas through Extension?

Speaker:  Nelda Speller, Director, AgriLife Extension, Bexar County

Nelda Lebya Speller is the County Extension Director for Texas A&M AgriLife Extension in Bexar County.  Nelda is a long-time resident of San Antonio, who graduated from Texas A&M – Kingsville with bachelor’s & master’s degrees.  She began working for AgriLife Extension in 1997, and became the AgriLife Director of Bexar County in 2015.  Nelda was previously the lead county agent responsible for planning, training, implementing, & supervising AgriLife food & nutrition educational programs in Bexar County.  She also helped in the development of the Healthy Food, Healthy Families curriculum.  Nelda has received multiple awards over the years during her tenure with AgriLife, and has been active in the community.

The meeting is free and open to the public.
The business portion of the meeting will begin immediately after the conclusion of the presentation.
